Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included this untitled work by Gregory Crewdson. The price achieved of USD 38,100.00 (€ 34,510.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gregory Crewdson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dream House Portfolio, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 169,000.00 (€ 115,059.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gregory Crewdson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 38.100,00 (€ 34.510,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gregory Crewdson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dream House Portfolio beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 169.000,00 (€ 115.059,91) versteigert wurde.
