In May 2008 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Solitude - Oliviers Et La Mer by Gustave Singier. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 19,450.00 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustave Singier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Intérieur Flamand, which sold at auction in June 2016 for EUR 56,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Solitude - Oliviers Et La Mer von Gustave Singier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 19.450,00 und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gustave Singier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Intérieur Flamand beobachtet, die im Juni 2016 für EUR 56.250,00 versteigert wurde.
