Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Evi as Cop, Half-Naked and Dressed, Beverly Hills, March, 1998 by Helmut Newton was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October 2019. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,645.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Helmut Newton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Big Nude III" (Variation), Paris in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,340,000.00 (€ 2,180,598.27).
