Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Christian Bérard, Paris, 1944 by Herbert List was worth EUR 6,250.00 to a buyer in May 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Collection Marion Lambert at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Herbert List - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Goldfish Bowl', which sold at auction in November 2015 for EUR 25,000.00.
