Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Sous-Bois by Hippolyte Petitjean. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 15,651.09). Admittedly, works by Hippolyte Petitjean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Femme Au Bord Du Lac in March 2018 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 78,275.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sous-Bois von Hippolyte Petitjean zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 15.651,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hippolyte Petitjean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Femme Au Bord Du Lac im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 78.275,67).
