In June 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art Online | Paris, which included the work Untitled (Solutions De Continuité) Sans Titre (Solutions De Continuité) by Hisao Dōmoto. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 25,000.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hisao Dōmoto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 750,000.00 (€ 86,686.12).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen

Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | Paris durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Solutions De Continuité) Sans Titre (Solutions De Continuité) von Hisao Dōmoto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 25.000,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hisao Dōmoto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 750.000,00 (€ 86.686,12) versteigert wurde.
