Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hsiao Chin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session auction, the work Beyond The Great Threshold - 61 sold for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,997.70) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hsiao Chin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue in April this year with an auction result of HKD 372,000.00 (€ 379,884.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hsiao Chin erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit Beyond The Great Threshold - 61 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.997,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hsiao Chin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 372.000,00 (€ 379.884,78).
