Upper estimate price exceeded by 47%
In May this year Christies in Paris held the auction Art contemporain - vente online, which included the work Anima Mundi 2015-17 by Imi Knoebel. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 44,100, 47% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Imi Knoebel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Revolver I in April 2017 with an auction result of EUR 434,500.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47% übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art contemporain - vente online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Anima Mundi 2015-17 von Imi Knoebel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 44.100 und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Imi Knoebel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Revolver I im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 434.500.
