Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Izumi Kato achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session auction, the work without title sold for HKD 625,000.00 (€ 66,067.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 220,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Izumi Kato achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,560,000.00 (€ 1,593,065.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Izumi Kato erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für HKD 625.000,00 (€ 66.067,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 220.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Izumi Kato erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.560.000,00 (€ 1.593.065,22).
