In September 2002 Christies in London held the auction THE FREYCINET COLLECTION, which included the work Voyage à Bathurst. Tara. Perva. Jeunes Sauvages de la Nouvelle Galles du Sud dans leur camp. d'après nature by J. Alphonse Pellion. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,767.50 (€ 12,344.34), 55% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by J. Alphonse Pellion have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Une vue du Port de Sidney prise de l'observatoire (croquis d'après nature) le 13 Dec 1819 in September 2002 with an auction result of GBP 74,090.00 (€ 117,746.03).

Im September 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE FREYCINET COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit Voyage à Bathurst. Tara. Perva. Jeunes Sauvages de la Nouvelle Galles du Sud dans leur camp. d'après nature von J. Alphonse Pellion zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.767,50 (€ 12.344,34) und damit 55% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von J. Alphonse Pellion auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Une vue du Port de Sidney prise de l'observatoire (croquis d'après nature) le 13 Dec 1819 im September 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 74.090,00 (€ 117.746,03).
