Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Wynd by Jason Martin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 40,320.00 (€ 44,771.92), 15% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jason Martin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Origin, which sold at auction in July this year for GBP 114,300.00 (€ 133,353.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wynd von Jason Martin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 40.320,00 (€ 44.771,92) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jason Martin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Origin beobachtet, die im Juli diesen Jahres für GBP 114.300,00 (€ 133.353,46) versteigert wurde.
