This work without title by Jayashree Chakravarty was sold in the Indian and Southeast Asian Art including Modern and auction at Christies in New York in March 2005. The auction ended at the price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,626.42), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jayashree Chakravarty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2009 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,704.55).
