In May this year Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Sur un Lit by Jeanloup Sieff. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,160.00 (€ 11,821.23), 69% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeanloup Sieff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yves Saint Laurent, Paris, 1971, which sold at auction in June 2010 for EUR 39,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 69 % übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sur un Lit von Jeanloup Sieff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.160,00 (€ 11.821,23) und damit 69% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jeanloup Sieff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yves Saint Laurent, Paris, 1971 beobachtet, die im Juni 2010 für EUR 39.400,00 versteigert wurde.
