Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session, which included the work Studio - Life by Jeff Elrod. The price achieved of USD 150,000.00 (€ 132,473.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeff Elrod - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Echo Painting (B/W), which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 218,500.00 (€ 308,082.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Studio - Life von Jeff Elrod zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 132.473,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jeff Elrod mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Echo Painting (B/W) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 218.500,00 (€ 308.082,26) versteigert wurde.
