The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,497,250.00 (€ 1,763,635.23), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jenny Saville have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Propped in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 9,537,250.00 (€ 10,755,075.69).

Die Arbeit Branded von Jenny Saville wurde im Februar 2011 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary ArtEvening Auction bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.497.250,00 (€ 1.763.635,23) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jenny Saville auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Propped im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.537.250,00 (€ 10.755.075,69).
