Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Juncture by Jenny Saville was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000,000.00 – 7,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,442,200.00 (€ 6,316,596.94) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jenny Saville have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2018 the work Propped was auctioned for GBP 9,537,250.00 (€ 10,755,075.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Juncture von Jenny Saville kam im März 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000.000,00 – 7.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.442.200,00 (€ 6.316.596,94) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Jenny Saville konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2018 die Arbeit Propped für GBP 9.537.250,00 (€ 10.755.075,69) versteigert.
