Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Arena II (given a shaft of sunlight) by Jim Hodges for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,073.24). This price was achieved in the auction Editions Contemporary: Online Auction at Phillips in an online auction and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Hodges achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When We Stay in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 2,098,500.00 (€ 1,609,772.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Arena II (given a shaft of sunlight) von Jim Hodges für USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.073,24) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Editions Contemporary: Online Auction bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jim Hodges erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit When We Stay im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.098.500,00 (€ 1.609.772,94).
