Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Still Life With Fruit by Joan Gillchrest. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,636.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joan Gillchrest - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jack'S View Of Mousehole, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,948.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit von Joan Gillchrest zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.636,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joan Gillchrest mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jack'S View Of Mousehole beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.948,53) versteigert wurde.
