Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, Furniture Sculpture (FS249) by John Armleder was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,711.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Armleder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chabasite in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 198,473.28).

Die Arbeit Untitled, Furniture Sculpture (FS249) von John Armleder kam im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.711,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Armleder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chabasite im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 198.473,28).
