In March 2015 Christies in New York held the auction 20/21 Photographs, which included the work County Line Road at Annis Brake, Southwest, from Mississippi, 2014 by John Chiara. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,564.47), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Chiara - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greene Street near Grand Street, Variation 4, 2018, which sold at auction in April last year for USD 21,420.00 (€ 20,328.37).

Im März 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 20/21 Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit County Line Road at Annis Brake, Southwest, from Mississippi, 2014 von John Chiara zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.564,47) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John Chiara mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greene Street near Grand Street, Variation 4, 2018 beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für USD 21.420,00 (€ 20.328,37) versteigert wurde.
