Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tiny Dancer by John De Andrea was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 15,455.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John De Andrea have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sitting Woman in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 146,500.00 (€ 101,905.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tiny Dancer von John De Andrea wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 15.455,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John De Andrea auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sitting Woman im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 146.500,00 (€ 101.905,95).
