Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Spain by Josef Koudelka. The price achieved of USD 7,620.00 (€ 6,902.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Josef Koudelka have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gypsy, Kladno, Czechoslovakia, 1966 in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 68,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spain von Josef Koudelka zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 7.620,00 (€ 6.902,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Josef Koudelka auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gypsy, Kladno, Czechoslovakia, 1966 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 68.750,00.
