In December 2020 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Important Winter Sale, which included the work Poppy field with reclining nude by Julius LeBlanc Stewart. The result of SEK 250,000.00 (€ 24,897.79) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 250,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius LeBlanc Stewart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five O'Clock Tea in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,880,000.00 (€ 1,686,249.89).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Important Winter Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poppy field with reclining nude von Julius LeBlanc Stewart zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 250.000,00 (€ 24.897,79) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 250.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julius LeBlanc Stewart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Five O'Clock Tea im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.880.000,00 (€ 1.686.249,89).
