Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Full Speed by Julius LeBlanc Stewart was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 855,000.00 (€ 755,100.24). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julius LeBlanc Stewart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Five O'Clock Tea, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 1,880,000.00 (€ 1,686,249.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Full Speed von Julius LeBlanc Stewart wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 855.000,00 (€ 755.100,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Julius LeBlanc Stewart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Five O'Clock Tea beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 1.880.000,00 (€ 1.686.249,89) versteigert wurde.
