Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire the work 100% Cashmere Blanket (Red) by Kaws for HKD 10,080.00 (€ 1,218.99). This price was achieved in the auction No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of HKD 12,000.00 – 24,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kaws achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Kimpsons #1) in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 57,877,000.00 (€ 6,615,255.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 100% Cashmere Blanket (Red) von Kaws für HKD 10.080,00 (€ 1.218,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion No Regrets: 20th/21st Century Art Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 24.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kaws erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Kimpsons #1) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 57.877.000,00 (€ 6.615.255,49).
