Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Kenneth Noland. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,644.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kenneth Noland achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rocker in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 4,255,000.00 (€ 3,489,421.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Kenneth Noland zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.644,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kenneth Noland erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rocker im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.255.000,00 (€ 3.489.421,03).
