This artwork by Leon Kossoff achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2019. In the Modern British Art Day Sale auction, the work Small Landscape with St Paul's II sold for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 98,362.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Kossoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Willesden Junction - Autumn Afternoon in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,388,750.00 (€ 1,566,467.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Leon Kossoff erzielte im Juni 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Small Landscape with St Paul's II für GBP 87.500,00 (€ 98.362,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Leon Kossoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Willesden Junction - Autumn Afternoon im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.388.750,00 (€ 1.566.467,81).
