The work Businessman by Liu Wei was sold in the 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. It achieved a price of HKD 3,250,000.00 (€ 343,550.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Revolutionary Family Series (Triptych) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 38,840,000.00 (€ 4,375,907.70).

Die Arbeit Businessman von Liu Wei wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion 20th and 21st Century Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 3.250.000,00 (€ 343.550,11) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Revolutionary Family Series (Triptych) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 38.840.000,00 (€ 4.375.907,70).
