Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Avenue de Clichy, le soir, cinq heures by Louis Anquetin was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2016. The price achieved of USD 583,500.00 (€ 551,616.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Anquetin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Femme à sa toilette, which sold at auction in February 2020 for GBP 1,331,250.00 (€ 1,542,921.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Avenue de Clichy, le soir, cinq heures von Louis Anquetin wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 583.500,00 (€ 551.616,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Anquetin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Femme à sa toilette beobachtet, die im Februar 2020 für GBP 1.331.250,00 (€ 1.542.921,77) versteigert wurde.
