Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maternité, femme en bleu devant la fenêtre by Louis Valtat was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction at Christies in New York in May this year. The price achieved of USD 37,800.00 (€ 35,479.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Valtat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madame Valtat et son fils in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 726,650.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 35.479,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden.
