Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Six PM, Malaga by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2021. The price achieved of USD 567,000.00 (€ 502,347.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Highpower, which sold at auction in October last year for GBP 1,482,000.00 (€ 1,726,513.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Six PM, Malaga von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye kam im November 2021 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 567.000,00 (€ 502.347,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Lynette Yiadom-Boakye mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Highpower beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für GBP 1.482.000,00 (€ 1.726.513,59) versteigert wurde.
