Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Self-Portrait in Profile by Marcel Duchamp was sold in the Impressionist / Modern Works on Paper auction at Christies in London in February 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 38,746.16). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Duchamp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Belle haleine - Eau de voilette in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 8,913,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Self-Portrait in Profile von Marcel Duchamp wurde im Februar 2012 in der Auktion Impressionist / Modern Works on Paper bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.450,00 (€ 38.746,16) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Duchamp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Belle haleine - Eau de voilette im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 8.913.000,00.
