Upper estimate price exceeded by 26 %.
In March last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Auction, which included the work Trois fillettes dansant by Marie Laurencin. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 18,900.00 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marie Laurencin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme aux tulipes in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 602,500.00 (€ 462,181.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trois fillettes dansant von Marie Laurencin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 18.900,00 und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marie Laurencin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme aux tulipes im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 602.500,00 (€ 462.181,65).
