The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,659.70) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Martin Parr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Last Resort, 1983-86 in April 2021 with an auction result of GBP 21,420.00 (€ 24,639.23).

Die Arbeit Selected Images from The Last Resort von Martin Parr kam im Mai 2019 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.659,70) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Parr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Last Resort, 1983-86 im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.420,00 (€ 24.639,23).
