Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Masemene by Moshekwa Langa was auctioned at Sothebys in London in August 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,117.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Moshekwa Langa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape I in November 2017 with an auction result of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,932.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Masemene von Moshekwa Langa kam im August 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.117,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Moshekwa Langa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape I im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 9.932,55).
