Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Shikijo (Sexual Desire) II by Nobuyoshi Araki. The price achieved of USD 4,064.00 (€ 3,681.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nobuyoshi Araki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From Close to Range in April 2014 with an auction result of USD 191,000.00 (€ 137,707.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Shikijo (Sexual Desire) II von Nobuyoshi Araki zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.064,00 (€ 3.681,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nobuyoshi Araki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit From Close to Range im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 191.000,00 (€ 137.707,28).
