Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Moscow Evening by Oscar Rabin for USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,579.18). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Rabin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 337,000.00 (€ 216,469.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Moscow Evening von Oscar Rabin für USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.579,18) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Rabin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Russian City With Moon (Socialist City), 1959 im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 337.000,00 (€ 216.469,68).
