Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Pierrot et Arlequin à la terrasse de café by Pablo Picasso. The price achieved of USD 444,500.00 (€ 373,592.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pablo Picasso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les femmes d'Alger (Version 'O') in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 179,365,000.00 (€ 163,148,080.77).
