Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Ecriture No. 90-85 by Park Seo-Bo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 3,500,000.00 – 5,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 4,000,000.00 (€ 457,194.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Park Seo-Bo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work ECRITURES NO. 10-79-83, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 10,260,000.00 (€ 1,171,553.93).
