Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work French Fishing Boat off the Cornish Coast by Patrick Hayman was sold in the 20th Century British Art including Works from the Collection of Bannon & Barnabas McHenry auction at Christies in London in December 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,706.72). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Patrick Hayman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Fisherman, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,527.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit French Fishing Boat off the Cornish Coast von Patrick Hayman wurde im Dezember 2008 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art including Works from the Collection of Bannon & Barnabas McHenry bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.706,72) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Patrick Hayman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Fisherman beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.527,45) versteigert wurde.
