A top price for Patrick Hayman - as previously expected
In October 2012 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work The Fisherman by Patrick Hayman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,527.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Fisherman is the most expensive artwork by Patrick Hayman that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Fisherman von Patrick Hayman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.527,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Fisherman das teuerste Kunstwerk von Patrick Hayman, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
