The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,485.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Patrick Hayman have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2012 the work The Fisherman was auctioned for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,527.45).
