Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2010 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work In Memory of Alfred Wallis by Patrick Hayman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 720.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Patrick Hayman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Fisherman in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,527.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In Memory of Alfred Wallis von Patrick Hayman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 720,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Patrick Hayman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Fisherman im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.527,45).
