Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paul Cézanne achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2021. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale auction, the work D'après Delacroix: Sardanapale (recto); D'après Luca Signorelli: Homme nu (verso) sold for USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,910.78) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Cézanne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Montagne Sainte-Victoire in November last year with an auction result of USD 137,790,000.00 (€ 133,478,639.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
