Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Christies in London held the auction 20th Century Evening Sale, which included the work Quatre pommes et un couteau by Paul Cézanne. Here, the upper estimate of USD 10,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 10,415,000.00 (€ 9,548,038.14). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Cézanne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Montagne Sainte-Victoire in November last year with an auction result of USD 137,790,000.00 (€ 133,478,639.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quatre pommes et un couteau von Paul Cézanne zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 10.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 10.415.000,00 (€ 9.548.038,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Cézanne erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Montagne Sainte-Victoire im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.790.000,00 (€ 133.478.639,93).
