Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Promenade de la Gallerie du Palais Royal (Fenaille 11; Inventaire 18e siècle, VI, p. 165-6, no. 7) by Philibert Louis Debucourt was sold in the OLD MASTER, MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTS auction at Christies in London in December 2000. The price achieved of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,240.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philibert Louis Debucourt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scène De Noces Villageoises in March 2015 with an auction result of EUR 22,100.00.
