This artwork by Philip-Lorca diCorcia achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2005. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) auction, the work Untitled (From The Series Cuba Libre) sold for USD 66,000.00 (€ 53,445.62) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philip-Lorca diCorcia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Storybook Life (The Complete Series) in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 396,596.97).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Philip-Lorca diCorcia erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) wurde die Arbeit Untitled (From The Series Cuba Libre) für USD 66.000,00 (€ 53.445,62) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip-Lorca diCorcia auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Storybook Life (The Complete Series) im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 396.596,97).
