Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Philippe Vandenberg achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2012. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work La Notte sold for EUR 18,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philippe Vandenberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre - 1987, which sold at auction in July 2020 for EUR 52,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Philippe Vandenberg erzielte im Oktober 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit La Notte für EUR 18.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 9.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Philippe Vandenberg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1987 beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für EUR 52.000,00 versteigert wurde.
