Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale, which included the work Poissons by Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The »bidding war« ended at USD 94,500.00 (€ 88,062.62), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Berthe Morisot et sa fille, Julie Manet in May last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 22,770,478.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poissons von Pierre-Auguste Renoir zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 88.062,62) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre-Auguste Renoir erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Berthe Morisot et sa fille, Julie Manet im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.435.000,00 (€ 22.770.478,05).
