Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Ark, Chapter 10 (Still From A. Fraser “Untitled”) by R. H. Quaytman. It changed hands for a price of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 41,973.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by R. H. Quaytman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constructivismes, Chapter 13 in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 578,500.00 (€ 815,677.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ark, Chapter 10 (Still From A. Fraser “Untitled”) von R. H. Quaytman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 41.973,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von R. H. Quaytman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constructivismes, Chapter 13 im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 578.500,00 (€ 815.677,74).
